Like you, I first experienced tahini when I sunk my teeth into a warm chicken shawarma. At that moment I was hooked, but I never really dared to experiment with tahini until a couple of years ago. I realized that tahini had so much more potential including a crazy amount of health benefits, so I kind of made it my mission to sneak it into my meals more often. Tahini is now one of my secret culinary ingredients to make meals nice and creamy for myself and in the meal plans I create for my clients.

I use it in everything from sauces to soups to salad dressings and now in this ahhhhmazing ice cream! To make it even more fun to eat I’ve topped it off with Central Roast Milk Chocolate Rainbow Drops.

It feels good to eat foods that are fun and indulgent but that don’t make you feel guilty about eating them. I usually have one of their portable snacks stashed away in my purse to snack on in between meals.

Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds and is one of the best sources of calcium. It has a rich nutty taste and really just a little goes a long way.

Tahini Recipes

There are so many fun and delicious recipes that you can whip up using tahini. I use it in this tasty tahini dressing to drizzle over my falafel as well as in this silky zucchini bisque. You can also use it as a dip for veggies [add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and your fav spices] or in a tahini salad dressing to toss your greens in.
