Weight loss isn’t easy but even the smallest weight loss tricks done daily can make a big difference when it comes to losing weight.
These weight loss hacks that I used to lose weight eventually turned into lifestyle habits that have helped me to not only lose the weight, but to keep it off.
It’s so important to lose weight in a way that is sustainable so that you will actually stick with it. The best way to do that is to create healthy habits.

Here are 5 weight loss hacks you can easily start today to not only lose weight but to live a healthier lifestyle.
Water is super important for weight loss and is at the the top of the weight loss hacks list.
Your body is like a sponge that gets dehydrated when you sleep. That’s why it’s important to drink 1 cup of water as soon as your eyelids pop open in the morning. Keep a glass of water on your night stand so you don’t have to think about it when you wake up.
Always take a water bottle with you. This will ensure you stay hydrated on the good stuff and not sugary drinks. If you need to, invest in a cute water bottle that will make you excited about drinking H20. Make your own ‘spa’ water by adding mint and cucumber or strawberries and lemon wedges.” If you want to make you water more tasty and less boring, check out this fruit infused water recipe.
You can also download an app like Waterlogged, which will remind you to drink water throughout the day.
Even just 10 minutes a day will do. There are tons of quick exercises that you can find by doing a quick search on Pinterest. Check out my Quick Workout board on Pinterest for some quick workout inspiration. There’s even some 3 minute workouts! Remember – small steps over time can lead to big changes.
To stick with this weight loss hack more easily, have fun with your workouts. It doesn’t always have to be about pounding it out on the treadmill. It can be chasing your kids in the park, jumping rope or taking some time out during your lunch break to walk around the block.
Get some of your colleagues involved and you can each keep each other accountable to get moving. Working out with group will help you to motivate and inspire each other. Studies also show that exercise can improve your memory, increase productivity and reduce stress.
3. Stress Less
While we’re on the topic of stress, excess stress leads to the release of cortisol which contributes to abdominal fat and can also lead to chronic disease as well. Research also shows that it may also wreak havoc on metabolism.
Metabolism is your body’s ability to use various chemical processes to produce, maintain, and break down various substances, and to make energy available for cells to use.
Put simply, it’s your body’s process of transforming food into energy, or muscle or fat.
A slow or unhealthy metabolism can’t access the energy from the food you eat so instead of burning that fuel as energy, it stores it as fat on your body.
That is how you gain weight.
Let’s admit it…in addition to everyday life stress, trying to lose weight can be stressful.

Here’s the ultimate weight loss hack! Try taking 1 minute breaths to unwind. Set the timer on your phone for 1 minute. Breathe in as deeply as you can feeling your belly expand, and breathe out all the way, pretend like you’re a balloon being deflated.

4. Pack snacks
Create snack packs and take them with you wherever you go so that you don’t give into temptation. Make sure to always have something in your bag whether it’s fruit or a snack bar. Eating regularly will help to keep your metabolism revved up.
Pack a Ziplock bag with a homemade trailmix of a variety of healthy fats like nuts and seeds. If you get stuck in traffic or when a snack attack hits you’ll be prepared. 5. Spend time with family
Take time to connect with those that you love whether it’s a spouse, or your pet. Unplug yourself from social media and take some downtime to recharge with those that you love, you deserve it.
